The well-intentioned idiot who is the star of the show. He doesn't have very good luck with getting pokemon to like him, and seems to get attacked quite a bit. Maybe pokemon just want to know what it looks like to set purple hair on fire. Originally Rajah was going to be the goofy one, but you see how that didn't work out...
